It is always a treat when the Empire State Building dons purple. Last night, it was looking royal & regal in the colors of the Westminster Kennel Club, which is holding its legendary dog show in NYC this week.

We had a stunning morning moon in NYC today. This first shot was during the morning twilight, as two architectural icons bookend the moon…

And I shot this just a tad later as the moon made its way next to the Chrysler Building before setting behind it.

NYC skyline celebrates Super Bowl champs, NY Giants

The NYC skyline, sporting New York Giants blue, celebrated the Super Bowl champs following last night’s exciting win by the hometown team over the New England Patriots.

There will be a ticker-tape parade for the Giants on Tuesday, Feb. 7. More details here.

ESB always up for an occasion

The Empire State Building was in a colorful and commemorative mood this weekend.

Snapped this of our blue-hued ESB on Super Bowl eve as it led NYC in a cheer for the hometown competitors, the New York Giants.

On Friday night, the ESB was shining for a good cause — to draw attention to World Cancer Day and give an appreciate nod to the American Cancer Society.
